Teutepeuters — Carnival association + CMS

View live

Role

Web designer, full-stack developer & CMS author

Tech stack

Next.js · TypeScript · Tailwind CSS · PostgreSQL

Year

2024

Context

The association managed everything manually: registrations by email, sponsors through verbal agreements. Alongside the public website I built an admin dashboard where board members can manage everything independently. Sponsors can now also be added through the site and compensated — a direct new revenue stream for the association.

What I delivered

Public website and a full CMS for a carnival association. Board members manage via the dashboard: members, king, albums, registrations and sponsors — without a single line of code. The result: dozens fewer emails per week and a new sponsorship stream the association manages themselves.

What I learned

Building a CMS for non-technical users teaches you more about UX than almost any design project. The feature I implemented fastest — sponsor management — turned out to be the most valuable. That taught me to ask early and concretely what the client actually needs, not what they say they want.
